Golf Club drivers how do Ping, Cobra and Wilson stack up?

Ping i15 Driver

The Ping i15 driver is for golfers with single digit handicaps. It has been developed for professional, semi professional golfers and those of you who would be classed as way above average. This driver is not a forgiving golf club and you will certainly know when you have made a good shot.

You will certainly be noticed on the tee, the Ping i15 is a beautifully styled and good looking driver that would stand out in any golf bag as a super golf club in the same way as a super car stands out at Earls Court.

The Ping i15 golf driver with its black head, black shinny hosel and gray shaft looks very menacing when it is addressing the ball.

Reviews of the Ping i15 state that the performance of this driver is excellent but not as forgiving as its stable brother the Ping G15.  Ping state that the face is designed so as not to be as lively to give better players more feedback on how well they are hitting the ball.

Cobra L5V

Where the Ping i15 is aimed specifically at better players the Cobra L5V Driver is a driver for everyone. Make no mistake this is a premium golf club overflowing with technology. Its designers at Cobra have utilised every cubic centimetre and every millimetre allowable to deliver Cobras most technologically advanced driver ever.

When addressing the ball on the tee the Cobra L5V Drivers large club head infuses confidence and distances attained are impressive no matter which part of the club face is hit. The Cobra L5V has a good feel at impact and delivers a penetrating ball flight. The noise it makes at impact is electric; this is due to the size of the club head and the carbon composite body and again only infuses confidence in the player.

You can get the Cobra L5V in lofts from 8.5 degrees to 11.5 degrees and is a low spinning driver. The driver is also adjustable so you can set it to one of two positions to help with your delivery.

Wilson Smooth

The Wilson Smooth driver is another high performance driver. It has a 460 cc head with Wilsons own Variable thickness design in the club face that delivers a massive sweet spot, twice as large as normal.

As with the Cobra L5V the Wilson Smooth drive is available with three lofts and with Wilson’s Smooth driver internal weight positioning design the weight moves back as the loft of the driver increases which gives maximum stability to your swing.

The Wilson Smooth driver is very forgiving but it is also very workable and professional in that if you want to draw or fade off the tee you can do.

The Wilson Staff Smooth offers you a choice of shaft systems so that you can match your swing and choice of loft accordingly.
The Wilson Staff Smooth driver is another good looking driver, with the where-with-all to infuse confidence in the golfer on the tee. Having the knowledge of such a large sweet spot the golfer can relax and enjoy the game from the outset.

The Wilson Smooth, the Ping i15 and the Cobra L5V are all stunningly beautiful and excellent drivers. Which driver is best for you is not a question that anyone, other than you, can answer.
