Golf Clubs – an overview
There’s a massive choice of golf clubs, irons, Drivers and Putters in all sizes, shapes and price levels, making it a sport everyone can participate in. Adults and kids flock to the golf courses every day to enjoy the fresh air and exhilaration of this hugely popular sport. You can buy sets already made up or you can make your own set by buying individual clubs. Sets are made up of golf Drivers and fairway woods, irons, Wedges and putters. There are also hybrid Golf Clubs that you can add to your set. Golf rules state that a set shouldn’t be made up of more than fourteen golf clubs. So golfers need to decide which clubs they need to make up their fourteen. Prices of clubs and sets vary greatly. A budget set can be bought fairly cheaply and many beginners feel this is the best option. If you find you like the game and play regularly, you can replace cheaper clubs with better quality ones; once you have a feel for the game it will be easier for you to decide which clubs you want to replace first. Golf bags and trolleys can also be upgraded. Golf clubs are available in different lengths in left or right handed, so everyone can find the correct size and design of club. Ladies have their own range, and kids have their own junior clubs and golf sets in a good choice of brands and designs. Junior trolleys and golf caddies are also available. Girls can even get pink sets if they so wish. Utility or Hybrid Golf Clubs are popular with recreational golfers and professionals. The hybrid club combines the design of both the woods and irons into one golf club. They are a relatively new addition to the golf set, and are made to do the job of the long irons; usually a two or three iron. Golf is a hugely popular sport for all age groups and both genders. It doesn’t matter what level of fitness you are, or how much experience you have, everyone can benefit from playing golf; it’s exercise, fun and social.
