Junior Golf Clubs

There are plenty of top manufacturers such as Titleist, ProQuip, Footjoy, Galvin Green and Adidas that have designed junior golf clubs.

In the past golf clubs were cut down to accommodate young players just starting out. The problem with cut down clubs is that everything is wrong. The shaft is too stiff, the grip too thick or too thin and the club head too heavy.

Today with golf clubs specifically made for junior players they have a far better chance of learning to play the game far easier than a generation ago. They can learn to develop a swing that they can repeat over and over and take that swing into adulthood and not have the handicap of having to over think their game.

Junior golf clubs have enabled young children from as young as 7 or 8 to learn the game of golf. Because children grow at alarming rates when they are young junior golf clubs should be bought that will last them a couple of seasons.

Junior golf clubs are best bought in sets and adjusted accordingly for the child’s height and build. Trying to get more than a couple of seasons out of a junior golf club set should be avoided as to get more than 2 season the shaft will have to be too long that the child will have to choke the club to make a swing and by choking the club he/she won’t be able perform a correct swing.

Grips on junior golf clubs are designed so that smaller hands can grip the club properly so that they can perform a correct swing. Grips need to be the right size if the Grip is too thick or too thin the child will alter their swing to accommodate and inevitably their swing will not be correct.

Club heads on junior golf clubs are also lighter than their adult counter parts, again this is to accommodate a child’s strength, the length of the shaft and the size of the grip. All in all purpose made junior golf clubs helps to develop a junior golfer so that they enjoy the game and can learn to be proficient at it.

The easier it is to become proficient at any sport the more that sport will be enjoyed and the more it is enjoyed the longer someone will continue to play. Professionally made junior golf clubs helps in all these areas which means that more children will take up golf, stick at it and play well into their adulthood.
